CHARACTER NAME; Chika Daimon
CANON; Digimon Savers (AU)
AGE; 10
TIMELINE; Mid “Series”.
FAMILY TYPES; N/A - Chika’s canon Digimon is Piyomon and will remain so for the purposes of this AU
WORLD; Chika’s world is a world that’s connected to a Digital World. The Earth is normal, and the Digital World is the exact one from Digimon Savers. The main difference between the AU and the World that Chika comes from has to do with the way certain events played out, as well as the inclusions of characters who were exclusive to the PS2 game Digimon Savers: Another Mission/Digimon World Data Squad (namely, Tsukasa and Yuma Kagura and Yuma’s Renamon).
The differences in the world are outlined more in the history section of the app, but the changes start when Satsuma decides to interfere when Mercurimon shows up in the human world instead of staying back like he did in canon. Because of this, Piyomon isn’t reverted into a Digi-egg, and instead of Chika fading back into the background and only showing up as Masaru’s sister, she and Piyomon join DATS. In addition to all of this, the mission into the Digital World to go after Mercurimon doesn’t happen, because without him trying to “purge the human evilness” from Piyomon’s egg, they don’t have any reason to suspect that Mercurimon is behind the degradation of the barrier between the human world and the Digital World. This also means that SaberLeomon’s invasion of Earth is also delayed, which delays Kurata’s plans from going for a little while. Not long, but long enough for Chika and Yuma to join DATS and not have something that colossal happen almost immediately.
The final major change in this version of the world is that instead of Masaru and the others going into the Digital World to confront Mecurimon, then end up going into the Digital World because Chika, Yuma, and their digimon end up being sucked into a Digital Gate and end up in the Digital World.
APPEARANCE;

PERSONALITY;
Chika is a rather energetic, friendly young girl. She cares deeply about her friends and family, and is always willing to add new people to that list of friends. She also dislikes seeing other people fighting, especially if both of those who are fighting are either family members or friends. If she had it her way, no one would ever fight each other ever again, at least in the physical sense of the word. As it is, while she does care about all of her family members, she does fight with her older brother Masaru a lot of the time, for various different reasons like most siblings do. However, while Chika hates fighting, she does understand that there are times when fighting to protect people needs to be done, and is willing to fight if she’s needed rather than letting friends of hers fight alone.
Chika has quite a bit of a nurturing side to her. During the few incidents when there was a need to take care of baby digimon during the series, Chika immediately flocked to taking care of said baby digimon. While she still had help from others, she was one of the few people who weren’t freaking out about them during the time when they needed to take care of more than one. And she really liked taking care of the little baby digimon a lot, and it wasn’t just the ‘playing with them’ part of it either. It was everything related to taking care of a baby digimon. Chika’s also protective of those who can’t defend themselves, even when she has no real way of protecting the person being attacked on her own in any meaningful way other than possibly blocking strikes to them with her own body.
While Chika is mostly confident in her abilities, she is sometimes a bit insecure. When she first visited Touma’s home, she found herself quickly embarrassed about everything that she didn’t know in regards to how she should act there, and she really wanted to not feel like an idiot in front of Touma. Well, that and how Masaru was acting around the two of them. As far as Chika was concerned there, Masaru was embarrassing her like that on purpose and she ended up running out of Touma’s home in anger.
Chika also has a tendency to make sure she gets her way. If she thinks that she’s in the right about something that needs to be done and you are the one arguing with her about it? Most of the time, she is going to win that argument because she will not stop arguing until she wins. Or she’ll end up going off and dragging you to whatever it she that she wants to do before there’s even a chance for there to be an argument. Either way, if Chika really wants to do something, it’s going to happen one way or the other as long as it’s physically possible or you’re able to out stubborn her.
HISTORY;
Chika’s history starts at first similar to what she had in the main timeline of Digimon Savers. She grew up with just her older brother Masaru and her mother Sayuri, since her father disappeared when she was a baby. Life was pretty normal until one day Masaru came home with a giant lizard monster that soon became a part of the family named Agumon and joined an organization called DATS. Chika met a few new people because of this, namely Yoshino, Touma, and their digimon partners, and everything was fine and normal for her even with Agumon there.
Until a Digiegg appeared outside her home one day, and hatched into a baby Digimon called Puwamon. She wanted to mother the little baby digimon almost immediately, and took care of him with the help of her mother. But later that night, a digimon named Falcomon attacked her home, intent on taking Puwamon with him. While Masaru and the others were able to scare Falcomon off, Puwamon evolved into a Piyomon. This presented several problems for Masaru and the others, because Piyomon only evolved because of Chika’s digisoul... in order for him to stay in the Human World, Chika would have to join DATS despite her brother and mother’s wishes otherwise.
Of course, Masaru decided that if this was true, the best thing to do would be to beat up Piyomon and turn him back into to a Digiegg and send him back to the Digital World over Chika’s protests. Masaru was about to have Agumon revert Piyomon into a Digi Egg when Falcomon appeared again, still trying to get Piyomon to return to the Digital World with him. Piyomon and everyone else fought against Falcomon, and when it looked like Falcomon was going to lose, a powerful digimon named Mercurimon appeared and managed to defeat Masaru and the other members of DATS digimon like they were little more than insects.
In the original Digimon Savers universe, Piyomon sacrificed himself to try to save Chika, failing to do any damage to Mercurimon and being turned back into a Digi Egg, before Mercurimon took himself, Falcomon, and Piyomon’s Digi egg back into the Digital World.
In this universe, things happened differently. Before Piyomon had a chance to try to sacrifice himself, Commander Satsuma of DATS appeared with his partner Kudamon, quickly digivolving into Qilinmon to battle against Mercurimon while everyone else had to resort to doing nothing but watch the fight against two digimon that could shrug off their strongest attacks like they’re nothing. Eventually, Mercurimon fled back into the Digital World, taking Falcomon with him.
Naturally, everyone was confused about what had happened, and Satsuma took everyone back to DATS Headquarters to explain things about the past like in the canon universe. It was here that Masaru and Chika learned that their father had been a member of an exploration team into the Digital World with Satsuma and others, and that he had been lost in the Digital World during that trip into the Digital World, how the barrier between both of the worlds was being weaken at any and every moment. But before Satsuma was able to extend the offer to have Chika and Piyomon join DATS, a representative from the Ministry of Confidentiality came and declared DATS to be shut down.
With nothing else to do, Chika and Piyomon returned to the Daimon household, while everyone who knew about Digimon wondered what was going to happen to the Digimon now that DATS wasn’t in existence any longer. Chika talked a bit with her mother about what’d happened, how her father had disappeared. At the end of it, Chika didn’t think that she really learned a lot... but before they had a chance to talk about Chika joining DATS, another digimon ended up going wild in the city. Chika and Piyomon ran out to find Masaru and Agumon, and ended up right in the middle of a battle between GeoGreymon, Sunflowmon, and Gaogamon who were fighting against a powerful digimon. Masaru and the others tried to get Chika and Piyomon to leave, but they refused... which lead to the other digimon having a harder time fighting against the enemy. But Chika wanted to help, and because of that, Piyomon into Aquilamon. With the addition of another Digimon into the fight, they were able to defeat and revert the Digimon they were fighting to a Digiegg. It was because of this incident that the decision to close down DATS was reversed.
It was after the end of that battle that Chika and Piyomon decided for sure that they wanted to join DATS. Chika didn’t want to have Piyomon leave her, and both of them knew that the way things were that the two of them could help out and would probably need to help out. Chika’s mother and Masaru weren’t happy with it, but eventually accepted that things were going to go this way.
Despite joining DATS, it was a while before Chika and Piyomon were actually able to go out into the field, partly due to Sayuri prodding Satsuma to keep Chika out of the line of fire, partly because she managed to evolve Piyomon without a Digivice. But it was also so that Chika and Piyomon could get used to other new additions to DATS, Yuma Kagura and her partner Renamon. Yuma was the younger sister of another member of DATS, a scientist named Tsukasa Kagura.
Chika and Yuma managed to become fast friends, though Yuma was reluctant at first. Chika did manage to win over the other girl without much difficulty, though she was pretty stubborn about it. Yuma hadn’t had many friends before, but Chika didn’t mind it and over the weeks that they were training in how to be DATS agents, they started to grow closer.
Two months after joining DATS though, Satsuma decided that it was time for Chika and Yuma to get some experience on the field, though they weren't supposed to get involved in the fighting itself, they were just supposed to observe. Of course, during the first mission when they tried to do this, something unexpected happened. During the fight against the Digimon, another gate to the Digital World opened, and Chika, Yuma, Piyomon, and Renamon were sucked into it.
Once Chika awoke, she and the others realized that they were in the Digital World and had no way to contact the others back on Earth. Knowing that they couldn’t stay around not doing anything, Chika and the others moved to explore the Digital World and see if they could find any hope of getting home. Which was about as hard as it sounded.
Instead of finding a way back into the human world, Chika and the others ended up being attacked by digimon instead several times. They managed to survive, but at one point they came across Falcomon again during these attacks. And Chika and Yuma noticed that Falcomon had a human boy her age fighting alongside him. Chika tried to talk to the boy during that attack, but she was rebuffed at every turn, with the boy shouting things like “Human murderers” and “Human’s killed Yukidarumon!” while trying to attack them. They were able to escape, but Chika, Yuma, Piyomon, and Renamon had no idea what was going on, though they did learn that the boy was named Ikuto.
But the four of them decided to try to figure out what that kid was talking about while they continued to look for a way home. They still were attacked a couple of times, but it wasn’t until they came across Ikuto and Falcomon again that they ended up getting some idea of what was going on. The six of them came across a group of humans who had shown up in the digital world... while they were in the middle of slaughtering a bunch of innocent baby Digimon.
Ikuto and Falcomon attacked the four of them during this, and would’ve continued if Chika and Piyomon didn’t run off and attack those men who were attacking the Digimon. Piyomon and Renamon had a few close calls, but Chika’s determination to make this entire situation stop allowed her to gain access a stronger power of her digisoul and evolve Piyomon to Garudamon. The men attempted to attack Garudamon like the others, but their attacks were completely ineffective against the perfect level digimon and they used a device to escape out of the world.
Before Chika and Piyomon could think about what all of this really meant though, they were pulled out of that Digital World and into another.

FIRST PERSON;
If you could make any reality at all, what would you make?
I’d make a world where people and Digimon didn’t need to fight at all! I mean, not like we need to do now, when a bad Digimon decides to attack defenseless ones or when digimon show up in the real world and destroy stuff. We should all be able to get along, not fighting all the time!
… Though I guess the way that Masaru-niichan and Agu-chan fight would be okay. I mean, they’re not really fighting because they don’t like each other or want to kill each other or something. They just fight... because they like fighting.
I really wonder how I can be related to him sometimes.
If you were given the option to stay in the Digital World or return to your home, which would you choose? Why?
That’s easy! I’d definitely go home. Piyomon and I really still have lots of stuff to do back home since things weren’t going really good there when we showed up here. I mean, our Digital World was in a lot of trouble and Yuma-chan, Ikuto-kun, and all the Digimon are going to need our help to stop those jerks who are trying to kill all the Digimon there.
What ability would you most like to have?
I’d like to be able to fly. Flying on Piyomon’s back is fun, but I’d really like to be able to do it myself. Then the two of us could race and have fun like that when we’re not going after bad digimon. Or just digimon that are causing trouble because they’re scared.
